TECHNOLOGY

Severne FGO - IQFOIL JUNIOR
pointer

SEAMLESS HEAD PANEL

This high abrasion area is made from only 1 panel and does not carry any exposed seams, preventing any potential weak point in this area. As a result, seam creep and seam-related failure have been eliminated.

pointer
DIRECT DRIVE TENSIONERS

DIRECT DRIVE TENTIONERS

The DDT 4 and DDT 5 tensioners directly connect the tube batten to the leech of the sail. This new design eliminates the heavy section of tube that is needed for the standard batten tensioner and being smaller, has superior aerodynamics. It is used on all lower tension battens in the OVERDRIVE M2 and the MACH 2.

pointer

OPTIMIZED AERODYNAMICS

By aligning the battens with the direction of airflow drag has been reduced. Clean panels with minimal seams further improve the aerodynamics.

pointer

HIGH PERFORMANCE MONOFILM

Custom high end monofilm construction to maximise performance and minimize weight. Construction mimics the exact sail prototypes that were tested by our racers.

BOOM HEIGHT REFERENCE

Boom height gauge for ease of reference.

CAM AREA REINFORCEMENT

CAM AREA REINFORCEMENT

Area around all of the cams have extra reinforcement for mast sleeve protection.

OPTIONAL CLEW POSITIONS

OPTIONAL CLEW POSITIONS

POSITION 1:

Use this position for the lighter wind days. This clew position gives you more power and upwind angle.

POSITION 2:

This setting allows the sail to open up and breathe more. It gives you more speed and more control.

EASY FIX REMOVABLE OUTHAUL HOOK

EASY FIX REMOVABLE OUTHAUL HOOK

The HGO carries the removable outhaul hook in the top position. This can easily be moved to the lower clew using the SEVERNE HEX-4 batten tensioner.

THERMOFORMED TACK FAIRING

THERMOFORMED TACK FAIRING

Protects your board from impact and neatly covers the foot detailing. It incorporates the rope stash pocket for easy storage of your downhaul rope.

MOLDED SOFT EDGE

MOLDED SOFT EDGE

With recessed grooving, covering any vulnerable stitching the moulded soft edge encloses the hard edge long the foot of the sail and protects the stitching from wear along the board non-skid.

3&4 ROLLER TACK PULLEY

3&4 ROLLER TACK PULLEY

Roller tack pulleys are matched to the sails downhaul requirements and aligned for friction free downhauling and threading ease. Rig your sails with the Severne Hardware Division extensions for function and simplicity.

pointer

SEAMLESS FOOT CONSTRUCTION

A single panel in the foot area with hidden load patches and zero exposed stitching eliminates seam abrasion and seam creep in this high load area. Maximum durability and minimum weight.

SEAM PROTECTION PANELS

SEAM PROTECTION PANELS

Panels reinforced with kevlar strips protect the foot area seems from abrasion from the board when the sail is in the water or when launching.

SEVERNE RDM BLUE MAST

SEVERNE GO BOOM 170-220

SEVERNE BASE

SEVERNE TRIPLE XTENSION

The Severne Apex mast comes with SlipLok technology. Alternating texture patterns in the boom area increases friction for less slippage. This eliminates the need to overtighten the boom, decreasing stresses on the mast.

Using the Severne boom with the Lockjaw front end, you only need to apply minimum force for it to sit perfectly on the mast without sliding.

You should not apply more than 10-15kg of pressure on the end of the lever for it to close. This can be done with two fingers.

DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!
Overtightening the boom head can cause damage to your mast.

iQFOiL JUNIOR FOIL

STARBOARD FOILS iQFOiL ALUMINUM

Components: 800 front wing | 255 tail wing with -2 degree | 115 Plus fuselage |  95cm iQFOiL mast

Back to back 2017/2018 World Champion and Vice World Champion, making it the most successful racing foil in windsurfing to date: Starboard’s Race foil started the iQFOiL project and it is the foil that made foiling in the Olympics a possibility. Its innovative racing geometry was the breakthrough that enabled foiling to cover Windsurfing Olympics’ wind range and performance requirements.

Starboard Aluminium masts use proprietary and patent-pending triple I-beam cross-section with a unique profile that pushes more material to the perimeter than any other known masts, providing unprecedented stiffness and performance.

It comes with the 115cm Plus fuselage for upwind downwind racing, as well as, higher winds and racing formats with more reaching. The Plus fuselages have an adjustable tail wing angle that allows the rider to increase control in high winds or increase power in light winds.

THE iQFOiL 95 ALUMINUM MAST

Starboard Aluminium masts use proprietary and patent-pending triple I-beam cross-section with a unique profile that pushes more material to the perimeter than any other known masts, providing unprecedented stiffness and performance.

TAIL WING ADJUSTMENT

iQFOiL sets are supplied with seven angle spacers (-2° / -1.5° / -1° / -0.5° / 0° / +0.5° +1°) and with a new 255 tail wing that has -2° built in.

The recommended tail wing angle on the 115 Plus is -2, so we recommend starting with the 0° spacer. You can reduce the tail wing angle for more speed and control, or increase for more power.

FUSELAGE

115+ fuselage

The iQFOiL sets are supplied with both the 115 Plus fuselage. The 115 Plus covers upwind/downwind, but also reaching courses, and long distance marathons.

ALSO INCLUDED

Other items included in the set: 800 Front Wing, 255 -2° Tail Wing and the Team Bag Size L.

Environmental Initiatives Associated with iQFOiL Equipment

The Carbon Footprint of a full, Senior iQFOiL setup is 721.31 kg CO2e. For each set sold we plant 22 mangroves with Worldview International Foundation in Myanmar. Over the next 25 years, CO2 sequestered by these trees will offset emissions 10 times over.

Starboard's Plastic Offset Program also collects 11.4kg of plastic from the shorelines of Thailand & Myanmar for every board sold. This is the weight of a senior iQFOiL board in beach and ocean plastic.
